May 11, 2024
Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church – Elk Rapids, MI
Members of Christ the King and Sacred Heart are encouraged to register and participate in this safety training.
The impetus behind emergency services aiding schools, business, and churches is the explanation of emergency service protocols, training and education are offered as resources. Knowing how civilians have been trained to respond to an active threat assists emergency services tactical response to any given incident.
It generally takes law enforcement three to five minutes to respond to reports of a violent attack. During that time, the actions of civilians on the scene will have the greatest impact on the eventual number of casualties. Ensuring civilians receive proper training and education on what to do when they face an active threat incident is critical to saving lives.
